KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: A combined security force killed a leading member of the Ansar al-Islam , an offshoot group from the Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) network, and wounded his aide during clashes that erupted between the two sides southwest of Kirkuk , an Iraqi army official said on Sunday.
