NSW: Carr speaks frankly about MCA

New South Wales Premier BOB CARR says a spectacular new building to house Sydney's
ailing Museum of Contemporary Art could overshadow the modest quality of the art inside.

He has waded into the controversy over the fate of the building with a frank assessment
of the museum's exhibits.

Mr CARR says if an ambitious and arresting, contemporary building is chosen for the
site, there could be an embarrassing mismatch between the building's grandeur and the
