Wilton acts to protect, portray history.(Capital Region)

WILTON - The Wilton Heritage Society celebrated its 40th anniversary on Nov. 3 at the Wilton Town Hall Complex.

The society's mission is to preserve and portray the history of the town of Wilton and manage the Wilton History Museum.

On the occasion of this anniversary, Councilman Raymond O'Conor, Wilton Town Board liaison to the town historian and Wilton Heritage Society, said a Town Board resolution is the first piece of legislation in the history of the town to formally protect historic buildings and sites in Wilton.
